the Engineer
Klaus was fortunate to apply his skills acquired at the Technical University of Vienna during his professional career. He headed the group for High Pressure Technology in the Laboratory Exploration and Production of the Austrian Oil&Gas Company OMV.
In 32 years of his professional career he headed the team of Mathematics, Reservoir Engineering and finally High Pressure Technology in the Laboratory of Exploration and Production of OMV, the Austrian oil company. In 2009-2012 he has been a guest lecturer for "Reservoir Fluids and their Modeling" at the Mining University of Leoben, Austria.
Within SPE he has held several positions in the Vienna Basin Section board and from 2003-2008 served on the International Board of SPE as the Regional Director for South, Central and Eastern Europe. In the season of 2014-2015 he was travelling as a Distinguished Lecturer for SPE.
Klaus is author of 24 publication in the field of Reservoir Fluid Behavior and EOR.
He holds a BS and MS in Physics, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Vienna, where he also worked as an Assistant Professor. During his years as a student he worked summer jobs with ABB in Switzerland and a scholarship led him to Moscow Lomonosov State University for a whole academic year.
He retired as a Senior Expert and serves as a consultant for Fluid Studies.
